LSCDS is offering a very exciting opportunity to tour the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) facilities at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto!

This tour is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot-in-the-door if you are interested in seeking job opportunities in science-related careers and take a peek at labs that are really well connected with industry partners (not 100% academic, not 100% industry).

The event will include:

  1. A 30 minute intro to the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, and to cancer research,
  2. Tours of two labs at the diagnostic development department and drug discovery department,
  3. A short chat about careers and ways to get involved with OICR.

Tour Date: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Oct 16th 2019

Eligibility: All current University of Toronto graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are invited. All scientific disciplines are welcome.

Deadline to RSVP: Tuesday, October 15th at 10:00 AM.

As space is limited for this tour (max 24 students), sign-ups will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please arrive for 10 AM at unit 510, 661 University Avenue (MaRS building, elevators near Starbucks).
