Are you excited about the Life Sciences Career Expo (LSCE) 2021?

To prepare you for it, LSCDS will hold an information session. Here, you can learn more about the conference structure and what you can do before, during, and after the event to maximize your benefit from this event. In addition, we will give an overview of the Whova software to familiarize you with the virtual conference platform.

Reinhart Reithmeier, PhD

Interim Vice Dean, Graduate and Life Sciences Education, University of Toronto

Dr. Reinhart Reithmeier is a Professor at the University of Toronto, known internationally for his research on membrane proteins in human health and disease. An award-winning lecturer and graduate mentor, Dr. Reithmeier enjoys teaching and is dedicated to ensuring that graduate students develop their skills and network to take advantage of diverse job opportunities.

Nana Lee, PhD

Director, Graduate Professional Development & Mentorship, University of Toronto

Dr. Nana Lee is Director and Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream of GPD for both Departments of Biochemistry and Immunology. She is also the Director of Mentorship and GPD for Graduate Life & Science Education (GLSE), Faculty of Medicine. Her most recent initiative is spearheading the GLSE PhD Leaders Program. She has presented to over 2500 audience members from high school, undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and professionals throughout the USA, Canada and Asia.

Jenna van Leeuwen

Co-Lead, Life Sciences Career Expo Team, LSCDS

Jenna van Leeuwen is a sixth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. Her research is focused on identifying novel drug treatment programs for patients with triple negative breast cancer. She is an LSCDS exec on the organizing committee for the Life Sciences Career Expo (LSCE): Pathways to Success virtual conference and Director of Professional Relations for the Graduate Management Consulting Association.
