Our second Mini-Networking Night of this academic year will be happening on Thursday, December 9, 2021 featuring consultants from Klick Health, Shift Health, Boston Consulting Group, Throughline Strategy, ClearView Healthcare Partners, and ZS & Associates. Interested in learning more about consulting and networking with some of the leaders in the field? Join us for an exciting networking night where our guests will talk about their paths to success and you can ask questions about their roles and responsibilities!
The event will be held via Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided to those registered/accepted at a closer date.

7:05 PM – 7:30 PM Structured Networking Session 3
7:30 PM – 8:00 PM Closing Remarks and Open Networking (Optional)
Trainees will be pre-assigned to a Zoom breakout room for the duration of the event. Following Guest Introductions, our professional guests will be assigned to three designated rooms for networking (25 min each). Following the Closing Remarks, any guest or trainee wishing to continue interacting with others is welcome to stay for Open Networking until 8:00 PM.
Spots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Preference will be given to current graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and those enrolled in professional degrees at the University of Toronto.
Paul Turgeon, ClearView Healthcare PartnersConsultant
Paul TurgeonPaul received his PhD in 2019 from the University of Toronto in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, followed by a short postdoctoral fellowship at St. Michael’s hospital. Late in his PhD, he was introduced to consulting through some case competitions and started participation in various student led volunteer consulting groups at University of Toronto. He recently started working as a consultant in Boston at ClearView Healthcare Partners, a life science consulting firm which does work in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech/diagnostic spaces.
Helen Luck, Shift HealthStrategy/Management Consultant
Helen LuckDr. Helen Luck is a Senior Consultant at Shift Health, a strategy consultancy focused on the health research and innovation ecosystem. She has worked with organizations across diverse sectors including government, academia, industry and non-profit within Canada and globally to develop corporate, research and product strategies. Helen earned a PhD in Immunology at the University of Toronto, specializing in the role of gut microbiota and the immune system in obesity and Type 2 diabetes. Outside of Shift Health, Helen is also the Chief Marketing Officer at the University Consulting Group (UCG), a non-profit organization that helps solve strategic challenges faced by other non-profits in the community.
Frank LeeFrank is a healthcare strategy consultant at ZS Associates based in Toronto, Canada. He earned his PhD in physiology at the University of Toronto where he established a systems-biology approach to identify new molecular regulators of heart function and therapeutic targets for heart failure. Frank was an NSERC Postgraduate Scholar, a CIHR Canada Graduate Scholar, and an NSN National Young Leader.
Annie Peng, Klick HealthMedical Strategist
Annie PengAnnie previously worked as a Consultant at ClearView HealthCare Partners and recently transitioned to Medical Strategy at Klick Health. She completed her PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Toronto. Annie’s work in Medical Strategy seeks to create solutions that engage and educate healthcare providers and patients about life-saving treatments.
Vinayak Bhandari, Boston Consulting GroupConsultant/Senior Data Scientist
Vinayak BhandariVinayak is a Consultant and Senior Data Scientist at Boston Consulting Group. Since joining BCG in 2019, Vinayak has worked on strategy and advanced analytics projects across healthcare, industrial goods and the social impact sector. Prior to joining BCG, Vinayak completed his PhD at the University of Toronto where he used computational methods to study large cohorts of prostate cancers with low levels of oxygen. During his PhD Vinayak also spent time at the University of Oxfordʼs Big Data Institute, merging UK and Canadian efforts to study prostate cancer.
Alexandra Hauser-Kawaguchi, Throughline StrategyHealthcare Consultant
Alexandra Hauser-KawaguchiAlexandra has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. She is a healthcare consultant with deep understanding of uncovering insights and evidence-based strategies to support patient outcomes and drive value. She has expertise in translational scientific research with a focus on the development of new drugs and diagnostics in cancers, inflammation, and chronic kidney disease. In addition, Alexandra is an inventor, published author, and motivational speaker. In her spare time, she is an avid skier, hiker, climber, traveler, and drinker of wine.
