Dr. Anne Meyer-Miner

Our second Coffee Break spotlight featured Dr. Anne Meyer-Miner, Scientific Recruiter for STEMCELL and previous LSCDS ITCS co-team lead! Dr. Meyer-Miner spoke about her role in STEMCELL and how participating in events like ITCS helped her narrow down which career field she was most interested in. 

Her advice to her past self? Be reflective and strategic. Make sure when you’re participating in events to focus on the skills you’re learning and developing. Everything is a learning opportunity!

Anne recently graduated with her PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto. She worked in a developmental biology lab at the Hospital for Sickkids using zebrafish to study scoliosis. During her graduate degree, she participated in LSCDS programs and co-led ITCS for 2 years. In addition, she is an active member of the Graduate Career Consortium where she continues to support graduate professional development initiatives. After graduation she was offered a job as a scientific recruiter at STEMCELL technologies where she is excited to continue developing partnerships and helping scientists find meaningful jobs in industry.
