Dr. Mak speaks about the graduate school experiences that impacted her career development, from switching institutes mid-way through her PhD, to volunteering with the LSCDS networking team and science outreach organizations. She encourages students to approach their career exploration journeys like a scientist, as well as be proactive about their mental health and avoid the comparison-trap during graduate school.
